The 1.9HGz quad-core provides the engine power to smoothly run the enhanced apps. For those who like to store a ton of media files, the 16GB S4 has a storage expansion capability of 64GB using a MicroSD card.
The most innovative feature in my opinion is the capability of the phone to monitor my eye movements for screen dimming and auto pausing when I look away. I don't need to worry about missing any portion of a video if I get distracted. The screen dimming helps prolong the battery life when I am not engaged with it. How cool is that?

Ever been frustrated trying to find the remote control to the TV or other players? Or you live with a control freak who won't share the remote? I share my house with a number of household members who all have different habits. One of those habits is the ability to misplace the remote control for the TV, DVD player and A/V receiver. Using the S4's infrared blaster, I now have access to my own remote control. I don't need to worry about where the remote is or who has it at any time. I simply take out my phone (which is almost always with me) and turn to my favorite programs...he he.
Apart from all the apps available for this device, many of the features are highly configurable making each phone as individual as their owner.
Black Mist
The Black Mist color is my preference. It looks sleek with my normal everyday wardrobe.
White Mist
The White Mist color version gives the device a regal appearance. It's not my style but I know a lot of people who prefer lighter colors.
What Is An Unlocked Phone?
Unlocked cellphones are simply those that are not exclusive to any particular wireless carrier.
When I purchased my first cellphone, I didn't know too much about how they were tied to the wireless plan. I would sign up for a 3-year contract because the cellphones were either free or at a reduced cost. But the phone would only last about 2 years. So I would need to get another one by extending the contract for another 3 years. Then the cycle would repeat itself.
With an unlocked cellphone, I can choose a wireless carrier that serves my needs without being bound to a contract. I also have the advantage of being able to switch carriers without having to buy another cellphone.
Locked phones are offered by specific wireless carriers and only accept SIM cards from that wireless carrier. If you want your phone to accept any card, then it needs to be unlocked. The SIM card is what is used to assign a specific phone number.

Caveat
Like the S3, the feel of the S4 seems about right when held in the hand. However, when kept in the front pants pocket, it may be damaged due to the stresses of daily movement. For that reason among others, I like to keep my phone protected with an after-market phone case.
