Let's Talk About the Keyboard


One of the greatest features on the phone is the QWERTY keyboard. To get started, turn your phone on it's side counter clockwise and slide it open so that it resembles the picture below.

There are four rows on the keyboard. Let's start with the first.

Row 1:
Your number buttons are up here. They keys toward the far left and right correspond with the options on the bottom corners of your screen.
You also have the symbols @ - _ & : ; ' " + =

Row 2:
The beginning of your letter keys! On the far left you have a button with an envelope on it. From the main screen you can use this button to open a new message draft. On the far right is your delete button, in case you make a typo.
You also have the symbols / @ * % \ < > !

Row 3:
More letter keys. On the far left is your favorite and shift key. The favorite button, when used from the main menu, pulls up your 10 favorite contacts so that they are easily accessible. In a text message, it serves as the shift key for capitalizaing letters. On the far right is the enter button for skipping to the next line when typing a message. It can also be used as an enter key when you want to click on something on the phone.
The UP arrow on the L key takes you to the top of the page.
You also have the symbols [ ] ( ) , ?

Row 4:
We've finally completed the alphabet. On the far left if your Fn key. Pressing this key allows you to use the symbols in orange on the letter keys when typing a message. In the middle is your space bar. This key also serves to put cute little smilies in your messages. On the far right you have your OK button. You can use this button to send your message when it is complete. The LEFT, DOWN and RIGHT keys are navigational keys just like the UP key from the row above.
