4 Google Nexus 4

Google and LG have teamed up to create quite a clever and remarkable handset. The handset has world-class specs at a very reasonable price. Size wise the Nexus 4 comes in at 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm this is similar to its preprocessor but has a stunning look and feel to it. The front glass is in piano black and the screen is extra tough due to the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen.
The screen is invisible when off - but when it lights up, you have 4.7 inches of True HD IPS Plus beauty. Thats 768 x 1280 with a pixel density of 318. It is razor sharp - blowing Retina out of the water. The Nexus 4 exudes in clarity that has to be seen to be believed. Colours look beautiful, icons and text are razor sharp and everything floats perfectly. Definitely the best display of the top 5.
Another feature worth pointing is the way the phone curves at the sides, from the main panel into the bezel. It seems to make the screen look even more realistic and beautiful. It's one of those things you really have to experience to appreciate.Round the edges, you'll find the usual adornments. A 3.5mm headphone jack on top, volume rocker and micro SIM tray on the left, micro USB port plus a few dubious screws on the bottom, and a perfectly placed lock/unlock/power button on the upper right hand side. It's just in that sweet spot where it's easy to press with the thumb.
Equipped with DC-HSDPA, the very latest iteration of Jelly Bean 4.2, a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, quad-core 1.5GHz processor, A-GPS with GLONASS, NFC. Make no mistake the Nexus 4 is very quick.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Compared with its preprocessor the Galaxy Note 2 is faster, stronger, better looking, and more functional. The Galaxy Note 2 is better connected than ever and thanks to that increased screen size of up to 5.5-inches it is the most perfect media player the market.
The Note 2 weighs in at 183g and measures a sizeable 15 x 81 x 9.4 mm. Big, yes, but it's slimmer than the original Galaxy Note, and it's still just about small enough to fit in your jeans pocket. Its extra heft makes it feel like a tough and sturdy piece of kit, and even though making phone calls continues to be a rather awkward exercise if you've only got one hand free to use it, its narrower dimensions do make it comfortable to hold.
It's the Galaxy Note 2's vibrant 5.5 inch HD Super AMOLED display that really sets it apart from other smartphones out there. It bridges the gap between smartphones and tablets with style and grace. Smaller tablets feel rather superfluous when you've got a screen this large.
Its pixel density has actually been reduced as the larger screen has the same 720 x 1280 resolution as last year's model. Despite the lack of Samsung's usual 'Super AMOLED Plus' branding, close-ups of the screen show a full RGB sub-pixel structure, rather than a Pentile design, such as on the Galaxy S3. This explains its clearer and sharper image than paper comparisons might suggest.
The 1.6GHz quad-core processor also makes it one of the speediest Android devices on the market, plus it comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with its super-slick front end. Web pages load in an instant, and it rendered the BBC News homepage in less than a second. Most pieces of text can be read very easily with just a double tap on the screen, although the touch-sensitive Back button underneath the screen can be a bit too eager to engage if you knock it accidentally.
Samsung has achieved something special here, because it has made the Galaxy Note 2 bigger than the original, but pulls it off so that you don't notice it too much and the fact that it launches running Android Jelly Bean and has such grunt with that quad-core processor makes this a class-leading phone.
Other Features:
+ The perfect viewing experience (5.5 HD Super Amoled display)
+ Easy tasking in one view
+ Power performance at its best (1.6 GHz Quad-Core processor)
