My Cell Phone Photo

My Cell Phone Fun

Samsung Admire cell phone by Samsung user guide photos
Many of my friends can not get their cell phones to take a photo that is clear and crisp. I have learned to play with any cell phone camera I own. I found that by playing around with settings and lighting, I can get the photo I like and want.
My cell phone is a Samsung Admire. I have 3.2 mega pixel camera on this phone (truthfully, I have no clue what all that means, all I know is that more pixels is better).

My Subject of My Photo

Nick in the mirror
I was able to catch my grandson playing in the mirror at a local department store as we waited on his mom to finish in the dressing room. He was telling himself how cute and wonderful he is. He was half talking half jabbering. He seemed to be in his own world.
Nick was 2yrs old in this photo. He was beginning to talk. We had been out shopping most of the morning. His mom was looking for that special dress. Nick and I were bored and needed some amusement. I decided to keep him out of the dressing rooms and let him play in the mirror. He had a wonderful time. Nick is often the subject of my photos of my grandchildren as he lives the closest to me and one who visits me most. Nick is a camera ham. He will ask you to take his picture.
I just could not resist this shot as it gave much insight to his world of fun, who can't remember playing in mirrors as a kid.

The Photo

Nick in a box
This photo was untouched. I took and left it as it landed on print or memory card(See above picture of mirror). That does not mean that I don't have applications on my phone to improve my shoots, I do and use them when i feel a shot needs help.
I totally enjoy this candid shot of catching a child enjoying themselves in ways no one expects to be invited into that special world.
I would like to add another photo of Nick I took just before Christmas right after we had set up the tree. I used the same phone without any app help.

Touched Up Photos

I used an app called "Little Photo". It is simple to use and has more than enough options on it to fix any photo or to make it a special photo.
I decided to show a photo of Nick which has been touched up so maybe you could see the difference. I used this app to make Nick stand out a little more in the photo, which was his bowling birthday party where he found time to be alone.
I am by no means a photographer. I am simply a grandma who loves taking photos of things around me. I have always been this way as a child. I have owned many simple cameras throughout the years. I have always wanted a fancy camera to try my hand at photography. I did at one time have a nice one while in the USAF but like all good things it was lost in shipping my things home from Germany. But life has moved on and I have learned to play with my cell phone camera and enjoy using it.
