If you want the combined features of a camera and an audio player, there are a few possiblities to consider.

A digital camera with MP3 player. This option is best if your primary interest is photography. You'll get a better camera with more features if you go the route of a standalone camera with MP3 player functions. As mentioned already there are only a few models on the market. There are a few "specialty" items offered by lesser known names that you can find if you search. On this page however, you will find the few that are available from a major manufacturer.

An MP3 player with camera functions. This option is available primarily through just a handful of products offered by lesser known manufacturers. The camera function on these devices is less of a focus and therefore not a perfect solution if photography is a priority.

A cell phone with camera and MP3 player functions. Cell phones are certainly the master of multi-functioning devices. The number of models out there that can provide audio entertainment and basic photography is large. Of course these cameras still don't quite match up with a standalone digital camera but they really aren't too bad in many cases. If you're not in the market for a cell phone however, this is clearly not the right choice for you.

Of course for some the only desire is to be able to easily and quickly download the images on their camera to their media player. iPod is the only MP3 player I'm aware of with a connector designed for this purpose.

The other option for this functionality would seem to be the use of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi capable devices on both ends. This would potentially allow wireless transfer of photos from the camera to the MP3 player. Wireless transfer of photos (from computer) is just emerging on devices such as Zune and the Creative Zen X-Fi. Cameras are also just getting in on wireless transfer so the options may be expanding.
